How do I stay in the loop about Biz Dash updates?

Please make sure you’ve whitelisted info@stlsports.org to ensure you receive important event communication. Email updates will come from the St. Louis Sports Commission.

When is the 2024 Biz Dash?

The 2024 Biz Dash 5K will be on Thursday, May 9 at CITYPARK’s Lou Fusz Plaza in Downtown St. Louis.

When does the 5K race begin?

The Biz Dash 5K starts at 7pm. The pre-race welcome will start at 6pm and participants will move to the start line on between 6:40-6:50pm. The 5K route will be released later this spring.

What is the cost to register for the event?
  • $45 per participant (February 14 – April 16)
  • $50 per participant (April 17 – May 1)

There may be special discount days so check the registration page and be sure to follow the Biz Dash Facebook page for updates and announcements.

Registration Fee Includes:
  • St. Louis Blues inspired Biz Dash T-Shirt
  • 1 Koozie
  • 1 Complimentary Post-Race Beverage Per Participant
  • Race Bib & Timing Strip

How do you create a company team? What are my options?

A “regular” company team can be created by following the steps on the Registration page. Companies can decide if they will pay for employees’ registrations, a percentage of the fee, or defer the entire fee to the employee to cover (see next question).

TEAM STARTER PACKS:

If a company is planning to pay for its employees, they also have the option to purchase a Team Starter Pack. Starter Packs include a set amount of race entries (10, 25, 50 & 100) and as well as a discounted team meeting space in the team village at various sizes depending on the amount of entries.

  • If you purchase a Team Starter Pack, you do not need to create a “regular” company team. Once the form is submitted, a Biz Dash staff member will set up your team in RunSignUp and notify you when it’s ready for employees to join.
  • If a company wants to pay for entries beyond the allocated amount, they can specify that when they complete the form on the Team Starter Pack page.

Does a company have to pay for their participants?

No. When you create a “regular” company team, it doesn’t cost anything until people start to register. Team Captains can set up payment with one of three options:

  1. Employees pay their own registration fee (at no cost to the company).
  2. Company pays for a percentage of each registration fee. The remainder is covered by each individual employee.
  3. Company pays for 100% of registration fees. Team Captains will have access to a “Team Invoice” feature through their Team Captain Homepage to view a running balance of their Company Team. Team Invoices will be sent out the Monday prior to the Biz Dash to all Team Captains.
    1. If a company wants to cover all race entries AND they want a team meeting space, we suggest purchasing a Team Starter Pack (see details above). However, if you have already created a “regular” company team and still want a team meeting space, they can be purchased a la carte through the Captain Store (Team Captains can see this on their team page at RunSignUp.com).

When is the registration deadline?

Registration will close on Wednesday, May 1 at Noon.

Is race day registration offered?

There is no race day registration. All participants must pre-register online by the deadline.

Are race bibs transferable?

Race bibs may not be transferred to another runner, even in the event that the registered runner cannot attend. Doing so will disqualify the bib number.

Are there refunds on registration?

The race does not issue refunds or race entry transfers. If the in-person event is unable to occur, all registrations will be converted to virtual.

Can I register if my company is not involved?

Yes! You can join the “Sports Foundation Team” on the registration page. The password is stlsports. This team is available to the general public for any individual participants.

Is there a limit as to how many people can register for each company team?

No, companies can have an unlimited number of participants represent their company teams.

How can I recruit more team participants?

With health and wellness at the heart of the Biz Dash, it’s a perfect event to add to your company’s wellness program! Talk to your Human Resources department about adding it to the calendar and employees can earn incentive/wellness points by completing the 5K. As communication is sent out company-wide, make sure the Biz Dash 5K is included in those event opportunities. Whether it’s in-person or virtual, it’s a great way to get outside and be active. Recruitment tools are accessible through the Team Captain page.
