A “regular” company team can be created by following the steps on the Registration page. Companies can decide if they will pay for employees’ registrations, a percentage of the fee, or defer the entire fee to the employee to cover (see next question).
TEAM STARTER PACKS:
If a company is planning to pay for its employees, they also have the option to purchase a Team Starter Pack. Starter Packs include a set amount of race entries (10, 25, 50 & 100) and as well as a discounted team meeting space in the team village at various sizes depending on the amount of entries.
No. When you create a “regular” company team, it doesn’t cost anything until people start to register. Team Captains can set up payment with one of three options:
Registration closes on Wednesday, May 14 at noon. Registration typically closes the week prior to the event (typically 8 days before the event date).
There is no race day registration. All participants must pre-register online by the deadline.
Race bibs may not be transferred to another runner, even in the event that the registered runner cannot attend. Doing so will disqualify the bib number.
The race does not issue refunds or race entry transfers. If the in-person event is unable to occur, all registrations will be converted to virtual.
Yes! You can join the “Sports Foundation Team” on the registration page. The password is stlsports. This team is available to the general public for any individual participants.
No, companies can have an unlimited number of participants represent their company teams.
With health and wellness at the heart of the Biz Dash, it’s a perfect event to add to your company’s wellness program! Talk to your Human Resources department about adding it to the calendar and employees can earn incentive/wellness points by completing the 5K. As communication is sent out company-wide, make sure the Biz Dash 5K is included in those event opportunities. Whether it’s in-person or virtual, it’s a great way to get outside and be active. Recruitment tools are accessible through the Team Captain page.
Packet pick-up / team box pick-up is offered the three days prior to the Biz Dash. Times and locations will be released closer to the event.
Yes, the race is chip-timed with results for the in-person event only. Participants will need to complete their 5K by 8pm to qualify for team scoring. Please note that virtual participation does count towards team scores. We ask that all walkers line up towards the back of the start line to allow runners and joggers the right of way.
Participants can see the 5K course route with turn-by-turn direction on the 5K Course page. The route typically goes through the heart of Downtown St. Louis.
Family and/or friends may be included on company teams if designated during registration, but they will not be eligible for team scoring. Team Captains can make this option available for their team during team creation. All runners will be able to view their individual times.
Children 3 years old and under are free and do not need to be registered.
A company must have a minimum of two men and two women to qualify for team scoring. The top two male finishers and top two female finishers from each company team will be automatically combined to create a cumulative team time. All participants on company teams will have an opportunity to view their individual times. For more details on the 5K rules, visit the Scoring & Awards page.
