What is the cost to register for the event?

$28 Per Participant

Does a company have to pay for their participants?

No, it is free to create a company team. During team creation, Team Captains can set up payment with one of three options:

  1. Employees pay their own entry fee (at no cost to the company).
  2. Company pays for a percentage of each entry fee. The remainder is covered by each individual employee.
  3. Company pays for 100% of entry fees. Team Captains will have access to a “Team Invoice” feature through their Team Captain Homepage to view a running balance of their Company Team. Team Invoices will be sent out Monday, September 14 to all Team Captains.


When is the registration deadline?

Company Team registration closes at 11:59 p.m. on Wednesday, September 9.
Individuals who do not have a team or miss the deadline can join the Sports Foundation (general public) team up until Friday, September 11 at Noon.


Where can I pick up my virtual race packet?

Please visit our Packet Pick-Up page for details on the times and location of packet pick-up. If you are a team captain, please reference the method that you chose and be sure to communicate to your team members on how they will receive their packet.


If I paid for shipping, when will my packet be shipped?

Individual race packets will be shipped to recipients who paid for delivery on Friday, Sept. 11. Please let us know if you do not receive your packet by Sept. 16.

For teams that PAID for delivery, team boxes will be delivered on Friday, Sept. 11 and Monday, Sept. 14. A Biz Dash staff member will reach out to the team captain to let them know when they should expect the delivery. Team captains will be responsible for distributing their members’ packets.

Where can I access the virtual goodie bag?

All Biz Dash participants will be able to access the virtual goodie bag through a link provided in the participant email. This email – from the St. Louis Sports Commission ( – will go out on Friday, Sept. 11 with all the virtual race day details. We worked with several of our partners throughout St. Louis to provide some discounts and special offers that are exclusive for our participants. Hopefully it provides some fun ideas to do around town this fall!


Is race day registration offered?

There is no race day registration. All participants must pre-register online by the deadlines above.


Are race bibs transferable?

No. Participants will receive a digital bib number for the virtual 5K in their registration confirmation email from RunSignUp. Participants use this bib number when creating their profile in the RaceJoy app to track your Biz Dash time.


Are there refunds on registration?

The race does not issue refunds or race entry transfers.


Can I register if my company is not involved?

Yes! You will just need to join the “Sports Foundation Team” on the registration page. The password is “stlsports.” This team is available to the general public for any individual participants.


Is there a limit as to how many people can register for each Company Team?

No, companies can have an unlimited number of participants represent their Company Teams.


Is there an official virtual 5K course?

There is NO set course for the virtual Biz Dash 5K. As long as you run 3.1 miles (5 kilometers), you can do it anywhere you would like.


Is the race timed?

Participants will be on their own (and on their honor!) to time themselves for the virtual 5K. It is not mandatory to submit your race time, but we do encourage you to submit your results during the Sept. 16-20 time frame. There are two options that you can use to submit your results:

  • VIA RACEJOY APP: If you’d like to have your results automatically submitted, you can download the RaceJoy app on any Apple or Android device. For steps on how to download, create your profile and find our race, visit the Virtual Race Day page. Please note, you will need to find your digital bib number located in your registration confirmation email from RunSignUp.
  • MANUALLY: If you prefer to use your own timing device (Apple Watch, Fitbit, etc.), once you’ve completed your 3.1 miles, you can submit your race time manually here.


Where do I find my digital bib number?

If you are not aware of your Virtual Biz Dash 5K bib number, you can locate it in your registration confirmation email from RunSignUp. If you cannot locate that email, you can search your name to find your bib number at our event site:


Can family and/or friends participate on a Company Team?

Family and/or friends may be included on Company Teams if designated during registration, but they will not be eligible for team scoring. Team Captains can make this option available for their team during team creation. All runners will be able to view their individual times.


What is your child policy?

Children 3 years old and under are free and do not need to be registered.

Who is eligible for the CEO Challenge?

The HBM Holdings CEO Challenge is available to companies with 5 or more full-time employees. It will be scored according to individual chip time (in male and female categories). A CEO Challenge participant must have an Executive or C-Suite Title at their company in order to be eligible. This category welcomes both runners and walkers! Please be sure they are registered for the event by joining your Company Team. Team Captains will be asked a custom question at the time of team creation on whether they would like to include someone into the HBM Holdings CEO Challenge.


When will the results be announced?

The 2020 Virtual Biz Dash 5K results will be announced on Monday, Sept. 21 on the 2020 Results page as well as the Biz Dash Facebook page. Winners will also be notified as we will coordinate delivering awards that week.


Can I walk or jog the race if I am not competitive?

Certainly! Anyone who is physically able to complete a 5K (3.1 miles) is encouraged to participate. We encourage all levels of runners and walkers.


Does the Biz Dash 5K have a beneficiary?

Yes, it benefits the St. Louis Sports Foundation, a 501(c)(3) charitable affiliate. The Foundation implements programs and activities that promote sportsmanship, create positive environments for kids to play sports, and help young people in St. Louis lead healthier, happier lives. Learn more at


Is this event tax-deductible?

This event is tax-deductible for companies who are a sponsor or donate for the event.


What is the weather policy?

The Biz Dash will go on rain or shine. In the event of severe weather, a call will be made about the race at that time.
